What makes us different

From product manufacturing to distribution to consumer use, the Back2Earth business model is structured to benefit not only the environment but also the people who produce, sell, and use our products. Here’s how:

We provide an even better solution than recycling. More than 300 million barrels of oil are used each year to make disposable Styrofoam products. Even when properly recycled, Styrofoam products still constitute a significant strain on the environment due to oil extraction and processing. Back2Earth offers products made from annually renewable resources such as wheat stalk. Because they’re plant-based, these products break down naturally whether disposed of in a backyard compost, commercial compost facility, or landfill.

Positively Responsible
We never compromise when it comes to people (or animals). Back2Earth ensures that all of our products are manufactured under fair working conditions and are safe for use by humans and animals. We also make a concerted effort to support businesses and initiatives that have a positive impact on society. For example, we partner with WORK Inc., a Boston-based organization that provides work training and job opportunities for disabled persons, to package and distribute our products.

We eliminate common barriers to eco-friendly living. Some people don’t recycle or buy eco-friendly products because of the associated effort and costs. Back2Earth eliminates those barriers by making affordable, eco-friendly products that decompose naturally without being recycled. The result? Responsible consumerism that’s effortless and economical.
